Radish is proud to announce that craft and development chef Tony Lones is a finalist at the prestigious B&I StrEAT Food Awards for a second year running.
Tony secured a spot in the final 16 in the competition after impressing the judges who reviewed hundreds of entries. Tony will compete in London on the 19th March 2020 in a bid to secure the title.
Tony’s winning entry was ‘A Malay of Kuala Lumpur’, which featured a pulled shoulder of mutton cooked Rendang style, with roti canai, tempoyak, nasi ulam and smokey sambal. It was served with a side of fried dumplings with satay sauce that brought a blend of flavours and ideas together.
On the announcement, Tony commented: “I’m thrilled to have made it to the finals of this wonderful competition. Although my dish from last year didn’t win the competition it was included in the annual Quorn cookbook. I’m hoping to go one better this year and take home the title!”
Rebecca Bridgement, managing director at Radish, added: “Tony has already enjoyed a remarkable achievement in being a finalist for the second year running. His ideas, creativity and imagination always delight us and we have every faith in him ahead of the 2020 finals. We wish him the very best of luck.”
